ISC offers a beautiful clubhouse with numerous amenities. The main gathering room seats 100 for meals, classes, meetings and social events. The galley is available to prepare meals to feed the whole club. The massive deck and gazebo offer outdoor functions day and night. With the bath facilities, storage and office annex, the clubhouse is the center of operations at ISC.
House & Galley oversees the day-to-day operation of the clubhouse facilities. We are responsible for the maintenance and repair of the clubhouse, deck and the Annex. On occasion the clubhouse is available to rent, but first priority is given to the fleets for their regatta activities and for club sponsored social events.
Our committee is under new "management" this year. Deborah Brown and Jean Smith will chair this area and exciting improvements are already underway. Deborah and Jean work alongside Paul Dovey and Michelle Sarber to coordinate any club activities that involve the clubhouse and to assist them to make sure the clubhouse is managed and maintained efficiently. Along with regular maintenance of the building, Annex and deck areas, the House and Galley Committee deals with capital improvements, prepares the annual Operating and Capitol budgets, communicates with Long Range Planning, oversees contractors, handles clubhouse reservations and the calendar, and maintains good communication between the Board, Flag Officers, Fleets and other committee heads.
While the committee has these responsibilities, it is expected that all ISC club members do their part to keep the clubhouse neat and clean. These efforts demonstrate our pride and respect to all members and guests. If you have any questions you may contact Deborah Brown at 860-399-6991 and for information about clubhouse rentals, contact Jean Smith at 317-319-1691.
Feel free to visit the clubhouse. Say hello to other members and enjoy the breath taking views of our harbor and Geist Reservior.
